To update the sound driver in Device Manager, here’s what you need to do:
- On your keyboard, press theWin+R (the Windows logo key and the R key) at the same time to invoke the run box.
- Typedevmgmt.msc in the run box and click theOK button to open Device Manager.
- Expand the categorySound, video and game controllers .
- Right-click on the sound device and selectUpdate Driver Software (in Windows 10, this could beUpdate driver ). The common sound device is Realtek High Definition Audio. In the example below, we update the Realtek High Definition Audio driver.
- ClickSearch automatically for updated driver software .

Method 2: Download and update the audio drivers automatically
